Romsey-based Roke is recognised as one of the UK's top 50 veteran employers by the respected GREAT British Employers of Veterans programme.

The guide highlights leading companies that staunchly support the Armed Forces community.

Roke has received the highest level of accreditation in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Award programme.

An talent pool of over 15,000 individuals annually exits the UK Armed Forces.

Despite the rise in veteran-focused UK employment programmes and pathways, identifying, navigating and accessing them is often difficult and confusing.

This led to the formation of the GREAT British Employers of Veterans programme in 2023.

Organised by the Ex-Forces in Business Awards, the programme offers a clear guide to the leading firms for military veterans and their families seeking fruitful careers.

For the 2024 programme, a 20-member Judging Panel consisting of successful business veterans ranked the top 50 employers.

Roke achieved the 15th position on the top 50 GREAT British Employers of Veterans, as published in the 2024 edition released today.

The guide serves as an invaluable resource for veterans planning their next career and firms aiming to compare their offerings to the Armed Forces community.

Roke managing director, Paul MacGregor, said: "Roke is proud of our long history of supporting the UK Armed Forces and its allies, going back to our founding in 1956. Today we count many veterans within our team, whose experience, work ethic, teamwork and determination is the backbone of many parts of our growing business.

"We are thrilled to have been awarded 15th place in the Top Employers of Veterans in the UK 2024 and look forward to welcoming many more veterans to our team."

Chris Parker MBE, British Army veteran and director at Fortinet UK and judge for the GREAT British Employers of Veterans programme, said: "The GREAT British Employers of Veterans programme is a wonderful way to recognise and thank the leading organisations who support members of the Armed Forces community working in the UK."
