The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

MARK BARKER, 34, of Walnut Grove, Southampton, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance on the westbound M27 at Rownhams. He also admitted to driving whilst disqualified. Barker was fined £337 and received six points on his licence. He was ordered to pay £200 court costs. 

FRANKIE HUNT, 27, of Ennerdale Road, Southampton, admitted to possessing an imitation firearm in a public place. He was caught with an air pistol in Wimpson Lane in Southampton. Hut was fined £80 and must pay £85 court costs. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the air pistol. 

RICHARD PAYNE, 43, of Sedgewick Road, Southampton, was found guilty of drink driving at the car park for Southampton Central Train Station. He was caught with 56 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath.  Payne was disqualified for six months and received 10 points on his licence, plus a £120 fine. He must pay £150 court costs.

SHANE MCCOLM, 39, of The Avenue, Southampton, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class A, namely cocaine. He was fined £120 and must pay £40 court costs. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.

MUHAMMAD NAVEED, 26, of Bassett Avenue, Southampton, pleaded guilty to permitting the use of a motor vehicle with no insurance. This relates to a Toyota that was being driven on the M3 northbound between junctions ten and nine near Winchester. Naveed was banned from driving for 14 days and fined £405. He must pay £200 court costs and a £162 surcharge.

JOSHUA BERNARD, 28, of Foyes Court, Southampton, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance on the A34 southbound near Sutton Scotney. He was in a Mercedes C220 at the time. Bernard was fined £400 and received six penalty points. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £160 surcharge.
