The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

EDWARD MADGWICK, 59, of Waterworks Road, Portsmouth pleaded guilty to speeding on the westbound M27 between junctions ten and nine. He was driving a Volkswagen near Fareham when he was clocked at 100mph by an automatic camera. The national 70mph limit was in place at the time. Madgwick was fined £92 and received five points on his licence. He must pay £110 court costs and a £37 surcharge. 

SZYMON MARTUL, 42, of Warren Crescent, Southampton admitted to exceeding a 60mph variable speed limit on the westbound M27 between junctions eight and seven. He was caught by an automatic camera driving at 68mph in a Ford near Hedge End. Martul was fined £72 and received three points on his licence. He must pay a £28 surcharge.

NICHOLAS GULLIVER, 35, of Walnut Close, Southampton pleaded guilty to speeding on the M27 eastbound between junctions nine and ten. He was driving a Kia near Fareham when he was caught by an automatic camera at 91mph. The national 70mph limit was in place at the time. Gulliver was also convicted of exceeding a variable speed limit when he was caught on the M27 westbound between junctions eight and seven at 62mph. A 50mph variable limit was in place during this incident. The offences took place on separate days. Gulliver was banned from driving for six months and received seven points on his licence. He must pay a £120 fine, £80 court costs and a £16 surcharge. 

MURSAL SADIQEE, 22, of Lilac Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to driving without insurance on the M3 southbound in a Volkswagen Polo. Sadiqee was driving near junction seven for Dummer at the time. The 22-year-old received six penalty points and was ordered to pay an £80 fine, £110 court costs and a £32 surcharge.
