Motorists have been advised to plan their journeys ahead of time with John’s Road in Woolston being closed today.
Carriageway pothole repairs are taking place on the road today (Tuesday, July 2) from 8am to 4pm.
A road closure is in place between its junctions with Obelisk Road and Inkerman Road.

In a statement on X, a spokesperson for Southampton Travel said: “Carriageway pothole repairs are taking place on John's Road today (Tuesday, July 2) between 8am and 4pm.
“During this time, a road closure will be in place between its junctions with Obelisk Road and Inkerman Road.”
The spokesperson added: “Please plan your journeys where possible.”
