The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

KARRY CARRINGTON, 51, of Kent Street, Southampton was found guilty of common assault of an emergency worker in Southampton. She received an 18-month conditional discharge and must pay £50 compensation. Carrington must also pay £250 in court costs and a £26 surcharge. 

KEVIN PRAINE, 38, of Fairlea Road, Lymington admitted to driving without insurance on Maple Road, Hythe. He also pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis at Southampton Central Police Station. He was banned from driving for 36 months and fined £700. Praine must also pay £85 court costs and a £280 surcharge. 

CALLUM CORNOCK, 19, of Gilpin Close, Southampton pleaded guilty to attempted theft from a shop at Co-Op in Southampton. He stole a crate of alcohol worth £10. Cornock was fined £50.

DANIEL LOCK, 37, of Rosebay Close, Horton Heath admitted two charges of drug driving after he was caught in Rosebay Close with THC and Benzoylecgonine, components of cannabis and cocaine, in his blood. Lock was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £500. He was ordered to pay a £50 surcharge. The court was told how Lock wouldn't have driven if it were not for an emergency for his friend. 

KAYLEIGH LONGMAN, 38, of Wavell Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from a shop. These relate to incidents at Tesco and Asda in Southampton as well as Sangha Pharmacy in Thornhill Park Road. The court heard how £88.90 worth of foot items including chocolate and meat were stolen from the supermarkets. She stole shampoo and luxury gift sets from the pharmacy. Longman also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to bail at Southampton Magistrates' Court. She was jailed for four weeks. Magistrates' decided Longman has a "Flagrant disregard for court orders".
