They're the gym owners who have delivered nearly 16,000 hours of health and fitness coaching to their members, helping them lose more than 35 stone in fat and gain nearly six stone in muscle,
Naomi Suggs and David Cosens celebrated the second birthday of PentaLife CrossFit Chandler’s Ford recently and are going great guns, even taking their health and fitness mission into a local school.
One of the gym’s regular members, Matt Bristow, from North Baddesley, joined a year ago and has lost a 'life changing' nearly four and a half stone.
A teacher at Stoke Park Junior School in Bishopstoke, he introduced his young pupils to Naomi, David and group fitness during the school's Mental Health and Wellbeing Week.
Matt told the Daily Echo: “ I can do things I never thought possible! I am no longer overwhelmed by food and have not binged for 11 months, something which was almost a daily occurrence. In short: I am a new man, with a new outlook and a new quality of life.
"I have been lucky to have found the place to help me achieve all I want to. I cannot believe I used to carry around 30kgs of extra weight and have most certainly extended my life expectancy."
Naomi Snuggs added: “These two years in business have been challenging but we are beyond proud of the community of people we have built here at PentaLife. It’s really amazing to witness the progress our members make, whether that’s through body composition changes or through developing new skills.
It’s also a real privilege to be able to give a little bit back to the community and support Matt with Mental Health and Wellbeing Week at Stoke Park Juniors – we had a lot of fun!”
Naomi and David have spent the past two years building a positive community of people, ranging in age from 11 to 75. focussed on improving their health and fitness.
They are a huge support to each other, and make getting up at 5am to go to the gym on a cold and wet winter's day a little easier!
