A man has been arrested after a woman was injured in a 'domestic incident', police said.
Police were called to the incident at an address on Chapel Road in St Mary's shortly after 5.30am on Sunday, July 7.
Officers arrested a 36-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of assault, who remains in custody at this time.

READ MORE:In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We were called at 5.31am this morning (Sunday, July 7) to a report of a domestic incident taking place at an address on Chapel Road in Southampton.
“Officers attended and arrested a 36-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of assault. He remains in police custody at the current time.”
The police spokesperson added: “A woman in her 20s sustained minor injuries. An investigation into the incident is underway.”
