The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

NATASHA KEAN, 34, of Itchenside Close, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in a public place in Southampton. She received an 18-month community order with a mental health treatment requirement, eight rehabilitation days and a £40 fine. An order was made for the deprivation of the knife. Kean was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge. 

CAINE WOODRUFF, 24, of Orchard House, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing a folding pocket knife in Above Bar Street, Southampton. He received an 18-month community order with 20 rehabilitation days and a £73 fine. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the knife. Woodruff must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.

SARAH MCGARVA, 43, of no fixed abode admitted to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. She also pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence. Both incidents took place in Eastleigh. She was ordered to pay £50 compensation and a £120 fine. 

RYAN ASHLEY, 46, of Kathryn Close, Totton pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving on Sutherland Road, Southampton. Ashley was driving a Mercedes Benz Sprinter when he was caught with THC and Benzoylecgonine in his blood - breakdown products of cannabis and cocaine. He was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £600. Ashley must also pay £85 court costs and a £240 surcharge. 

MANGEL TAAK, 35, of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to assault by beating in Clovelly Road, Southampton. The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be produced. He was remanded in custody to appear at the same court for sentencing on July 10.
