Southampton's world-class music venue Turner Sims has unveiled an international programme packed with exciting performances to launch its 50th anniversary celebrations later this year.
The line-up spans jazz, classical, contemporary, global and folk music.
One of the programme's highlights is the 50th anniversary concert on November 19, which includes the in-person premiere performance of extracts from Voyages of the Heart by renowned composer and kora virtuoso Tunde Jegede.

Originally performed virtually during the pandemic, this 50-minute version of the piece will be brought to life by a diverse ensemble of musicians. Voyages of the Heart is a unique blend of various musical disciplines, including Indian classical, Folk, and Reggae. It weaves together different cultures, creating a unique synergy of different techniques and sounds.
This project, which explores themes of migration and identity, was commissioned to mark the 400th anniversary of the departure of the Mayflower ship from Southampton.
Manager Kevin Appleby said: "As we celebrate the 50th birthday of Turner Sims, we are thrilled to present a diverse array of exceptional musicians from all corners of the world.
"Our programme, comprising both interpretations of timeless classics and innovative works to an exceptional standard, has something for everyone to listen to this autumn."
Other highlights of the 50th anniversary programme include an appearance from one of the world's leading pianists, Angela Hewitt, the 60th birthday celebrations for celebrated jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine and an extraordinary ten-piece of analogue synths Moog Ensemble, led by Will Gregory, one half of pop duo Goldfrapp.
Audiences can also enjoy rising star N'famady Kouyate, renowned cellist Natalie Clein and trios including UK jazz vocalist and multi-award winner, Claire Martin OBE, performing with her accomplished Swedish trio Martin Sjöstedt, Niklas Fernqvist and Daniel Fredriksson.
Families can experience the charm of the wind quintet during a fun concert for 7 to 11-year-olds by joining the Toot! Ensemble. Towards the end of the year, University of Southampton Voices and GreenMatthews will bring the winter season to life in a riot of sound and colour, great for families to enjoy the tradition of festive music.
Located on the University of Southampton Highfield campus, Turner Sims is widely acknowledged as one of the finest concert halls in the UK.
