A holiday park company which operates one of its sites in Hampshire has been named the second-best to visit in the UK.
Forest Holidays, which has 13 sites around the UK, including one in the Blackwood Forest near Winchester, ranked highly in the analysis from consumer champions Which?.
Which? asked Brits to rate holiday parks on 11 criteria, including quality of accommodation, customer service, cleanliness, facilities and activities, and value for money.
An overall customer score was then calculated based on overall satisfaction and likeliness to recommend, which can be found on the website here.
The results are based on an online survey of 1,717 adults – members of the Which? Connect panel and members of the public – conducted between March and April 2024.
How did Forest Holidays rank in the analysis?
Forest Holidays received an overall audience score of 80%, which was slightly lower than the 87% Potters Resorts received in first place.
It scored well in a number of categories, earning a 4/5 rating for overall customer service, cleanliness, communication and quality of accommodation.
Visitors can enjoy log cabins and treehouses to stay in at the sites, which are self-catered and come with a hot tub.
Activities that are available are "low-key" which include nature walks, kayaking and cycling.
They added: "This pared-back approach explains the three-star rating Forest Holidays got for entertainment, although it scored four for the quality of its cabins, cleanliness and customer service."
Alongside that, the site has also earned a 4/5 score on Tripadvisor from 118 reviews.

Giving an overall verdict for Forest Holidays Which? stated: "Perfect for a relaxing break in nature, but the hot tub lodgings ramp up the cost".
Discussing the survey, Naomi Leach, deputy editor of Which? Travel said: “Holiday parks have been a mainstay of British holidays for decades, but with so many options to choose from it isn’t always easy to know which will be the right fit for your family.
“Our latest survey shows that it’s worth looking beyond the best-known names, with smaller and independent resorts offering excellent value for money, great customer service and plenty of onsite entertainment.”
