A video of a person parachuting from the roof of a Southampton tower block has gone viral on social media.

The footage shows a man BASE jumping from Millbrook Towers on Windermere Avenue last night at around 9.30pm - just after another man also jumped from the tower.

The moment was caught by onlookers and has been shared widely on social media.

Harry Sheen, 29 who saw what happened, told the Echo: "I was sitting out in the field and I heard someone scream and saw two people on the top of the tower.

"One guy jumped off, landed on the grass and then the other guy followed."

He said many in the area who saw the dramatic scenes were amazed.

Harry added: "There were quite a few people in the park at the time.

"You could see people in the balconies in the block enjoying the evening who then just saw a guy flying off the roof. It all happened so fast."

The video titled 'Good Old Millbrook' on Facebook has been shared 897 times and had 334 comments, at the time of writing.
