St John’s Church, Locks Heath, is hosting a free Community Fun Day.
The day, which takes place on Saturday, August 31 from 11am to 4pm, is set to be packed full with a wide variety of activities suitable for everyone.
There will be a range of fun games and challenges, including a giant slide and many different bouncy castles — all within the church's premises.
People of all ages can anticipate a day full of excitement with diverse activities like archery, tomahawk throwing, playing giant jenga and connect four, table football and a steady hand game.
There will also be fun with crazy golf, balloon modelling, glitter tattoos, and face painting that young ones are sure to love.
Moreover, there's a craft corner and a photo booth, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Those looking for a more relaxing atmosphere can retreat to jigsaw puzzles and board games. Live entertainment is also planned for the course of the day.
Those wanting to snack can find a beer tent, barbecue and light refreshments available, however, these will require a small charge.
During the last Fun Day, someone famously set the standard by stacking 19 coffee tins into a tower.
The excitement is high to see if the record will be broken this year. As volunteer Pete shared, fun was had while learning new skills like balloon modelling.
The congregation has kindly supported the substantial expenses of the event through funding from a quiz and a 70s dinner party.
St. John's is known for its engaging activities that cater to all.
These include the popular 'messy morning' of games, crafts and a community lunch every Thursday during school holidays which attracts an average of 150 attendees every week.
