A major road in Southampton will close tonight for work after a defect was found.
Motorists have been warned that Thomas Lewis Way, one of the major routes in and out of the city, is due to close tonight for work.
Southampton City Council's Highways team has warned drivers that the road will close this evening between 7pm and 6am.
A closure will be in place between Stoneham Way and Mayfield Road so that work can be carried out on a defect on the carriageway.
A signed traffic diversion will be in place throughout.
