The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

OBIDULLAH DUSTOKHEIL, 27, of Southampton Street, Southampton pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after £60 worth of alcohol was stolen from ASDA in Southampton. He has now been fined £40. 

CLAUDIU ANA, 27, of Alfred Street, Southampton admitted two counts of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver when required. This related to the driver of a BMW who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was banned from driving for six months and received 12 points on his licence. Ana was also fined £180 and must pay £110 court costs plus a £72 surcharge.

LIAM FARREL, 39, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of possessing a knife in a public place. This relates to a Stanley Knife which he had on Above Bar Street, Southampton. He also pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after stealing £42 worth of items at Cool Merch in The Marlands Shopping Centre and assault by beating. He was jailed for 20 weeks. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the knife.

PHILLIP DAY, 34, of Marks Road, Fareham admitted to driving without insurance and driving without a licence on Southampton Road in Titchfield. He was riding a Yamaha motorcycle at the time. Day was banned from driving for six months and fined £500. He must pay court costs of £85 and a £200 surcharge. 

ROMARIO WALKER, 22, of Golden Grove, Southampton pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and driving without a licence on St Denys Road, Southampton.He was banned from driving for 12 months and must pay a £400 fine. Walker must also pay £85 court costs and a £160 surcharge.
