A New Forest town has been ranked among the top 50 UK seaside towns for 2024 according to Which?.
Lymington featured in 37th spot which was a slight improvement from 45th place which it achieved in the 2023 list.
The consumer champion surveyed over 4,700 people about their experiences of UK seaside towns in the last year to create the list.
Categories that were scored out of five included beaches, tourist attractions, value for money and more.
Out of all the 126 locations, Lymington comfortably ranked in the top half.

How did Lymington score on the ranking?
Lymington ended up receiving an overall score of 73%, which was the same it achieved last year.
Its highest scoring categories were for scenery and food & drink where it had a 4/5 rating.
The rest of the factors were rated a 3/5, including value for money, seafront/pier, tourist attractions, shopping, peace & quiet and parking.
Bamburgh in Northumberland took the top spot with an impressive overall score of 86%, retaining its title from last year.
At the other end of the table, Bangor, Gwynedd took last place with a destination score of 42%, followed by Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire with a score of 46%.
Speaking about the list Rory Boland, Editor of Which? Travel said: “From wild, unspoilt stretches of remote coastline to charming traditional bucket and spade resorts, the UK’s seaside towns offer something for everyone.
“While you may have your own favourite coastal spot, this year’s survey shows that it’s worth looking beyond the most famous resorts this summer, to the lesser-visited hidden gems in every corner of the UK.”

Alongside being well-received as a seaside town, Lymington has also earned praise for its High Street recently.
It was named among the top seven featured in an article from The Times, which named the loveliest in the UK.
The High Street was praised for its great variety of shops, including "under-the-radar women’s fashions" and its market held every Saturday.
