New food hygiene ratings have been dished out to five Southampton eateries.
According to the Food Standards Agency website, the following ratings have been given to five restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Bond Dickinson at Oceana House, 39 - 49 Commercial Road, Southampton; rated on July 15
• Rated 5: Mettricks at Unit 8, Centenary Plaza, Southampton; rated on July 15
• Rated 5: Edison’s at 126 High Street, Southampton; rated on July 13
• Rated 5: SeaCity Museum at Havelock Road, Southampton; rated on July 13
• Rated 3: Ocean Cafe at 63 Derby Road, Southampton; rated on June 14
A score of five is the highest possible rating, with zero being the lowest score a food establishment could receive.
It means that of Southampton’s 366 similar establishments with ratings, 288 (79 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
