The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

JOE HISCOCK, 23, of Howard Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Southampton. He received a community order until October 23, 2025 with an alcohol abstinence and monitoring requirement for 90 days and 20 rehabilitation days. Hiscock must also carry out 175 hours of unpaid work and pay £85 court costs plus a £114 surcharge. 

LAURENCE ANDERSON, 25, of Poppy Road, Southampton admitted to assault by beating and common assault of an emergency worker in Southampton. This relates to an incident at a property on Bitterne Road West. He received a two-year community order with a mental health treatment requirement, 125 hours of unpaid work and 30 sessions on an accredited programme. Anderson must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.

VISHAL VASHISHT, 39, of Chelveston Crescent, Southampton pleaded guilty to stalking without fear, alarm or distress in Fareham. He received a one-year community order with 20 days of rehabilitation activity and 200 hours of unpaid work. He also received a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim for the next three years. Vashisht must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge. 

PAWEL BABICZ, 44, of Milner Court, Southampton admitted to drink driving on Shirley Road. He was caught with 124 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath - more than three times the drink drive limit of 35 micrograms. Babicz received a community order until April 23, 2025 with an alcohol abstinence and monitoring requirement, ten rehabilitation days and a 30-month driving ban. He must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge. 

DARREN BROWN, 44, of Oxford Road, Donnington pleaded guilty to attempted theft of a pedal cycle at Cycle Experience, Station Approach, Brockenhurst. He also admitted to two counts of assault by beating. Brown was jailed for 12 weeks.
