Two men are being urged to get in touch with police after a hate crime incident at a Tesco store.

Hampshire Constabulary have released the CCTV image of the men, and said officers believe they can assist in their investigation.

A man in his 50s was the victim of a hate-related public order incident at a Tesco Express store in Fair Oak at around 6.30pm on Monday, July 8.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “The incident took place inside Tesco Express on Winchester Road. The victim was a man in his 50s.

“We believe the men in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge them, or anyone who knows their identity, to get in touch with us.”

They added: “If you witnessed anything of the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.

“You can do this by calling 101, or by reporting online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, quoting incident number 44240289172.”
