A family has paid tribute to a motorcyclist who died in a crash with a pick-up truck.

Ryan Brown was labelled an "amazing daddy" to his children in a loving tribute from his family.

The 27-year-old, from Winchester, died after a crash in Kings Worthy on Friday, July 19.

Police were called at about 10.30pm to a report of a collision at the junction of London Road and Church Lane. 

This involved a black Keeway motorcycle and a white Ford Ranger.

Mr Brown was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His family are being supported by specialist officers.

Paying tribute to the father-of-six, his family said in a statement: "Ryan was an amazing daddy to six children, he was always full of jokes and laughter.

"Ryan was a loving and supportive partner and a real credit to society. He will be missed by everyone who had the joy of meeting him. He will forever live on in our hearts.
 
"Ryan was also a loving son and an amazing brother, the best anyone could hope for. He always thought of others before himself. 

"Words cannot explain how much we all love him, he will truly be missed by all the people that had great pleasure to have spent time with him.”
 
The incident is still under investigation and police would like to speak to any witnesses to the collision itself or to the movements of either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.

They would particularly like to speak to anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
