The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
MICHAEL HUNT, 50, of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class B. This relates to a quantity of cannabis which he had in Southampton. He was fined £160. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. Hunt was ordered to pay a £64 surcharge.
JAMES MORAN, 50, of Howard Road, Southampton admitted to theft from a shop after he stole £24.80 worth of meat products from Sainsbury's in Southampton. Moran received a six-month conditional discharge and must pay £24.80 in compensation. He must also pay £30 court costs.
JIJIMON MEENKUZHIYIL CHACKO, 66, Atherley Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Southampton. He received an eight-week sentence suspended for 12 months with 10 rehabilitation days and a four-year driving ban. Chacko must pay £85 court costs and a £154 surcharge.

GERARD O'CONNOR, 35, of Warburton Road, Southampton admitted a single charge of assault by beating after an incident in Southampton with a police constable. He was given a community order until January 29, 2025, with 10 rehabilitation days and £50 compensation.
KIM BUSHNELL, 61, of Blackwater Drive, Totton pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after goods were taken from Morrisons in Totton. She received a 12-month conditional discharge. Bushnell must also pay a £26 surcharge.
SCOTT HOLLOWAY, 38, of Eling Lane, Totton admitted to assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Southampton. Holloway was jailed for 20 weeks. He must also pay a £154 surcharge.
ENRICO NAZARIO, 49, of Southampton Road, Lymington pleaded guilty to drug driving on the A337 Lymington Road, Brockenhurst. He was driving a Ford Focus when he was caught with THC - a breakdown product of cannabis - in his blood. Nazario was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £750. He must pay £85 court costs and a £300 surcharge.
