X Factor star Sam Bailey and 80s icon Sonia will appear in the world premiere tour of a brand new musical in Southampton. 

Now That's What I Call A Musical, directed by Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood, will be performed at Mayflower Theatre in January 2025.

Sam, who will play April, joins the previously announced Nina Wadia, who will star as Gemma, alongside special guest star Sonia playing herself and singing her hits.

It’s Birmingham, 1989 and school friends Gemma and April, are busy filling out magazine quizzes and dreaming of snogging Rick Astley. Cut to 2009 and it’s the dreaded school reunion. Drama, old flames and receding hairlines come together as friends reunite and everything from the past starts to slot into place.
