A demolition specialist has marked its 60th anniversary by purchasing a new headquarters.

Hughes & Salvidge has relocated to Leroux House, a 6,209 sq ft office space located on the 400-acre Cams Estate at Fareham.

The firm, which was previously located at Portsmouth Port, has more than 130 employees and an annual turnover of £42m.

Despite the move, the company remains focused on sustaining growth.

Hughes & Salvidge provides a range of services, including demolition, decommissioning, and industrial cleaning.

Their clients range from development companies and local authorities to government bodies and health trusts.

A spokesperson for Hughes & Salvidge said: "After a record 2023 for us, Leroux House will serve as our new headquarters at an important time of strategic expansion for the business.

"This is not only regionally and throughout the UK but internationally as well, with projects in Europe and the Middle East through our ‘demolish – crush – recycle‘ solutions.

"Leroux House enables us to have staff under one roof for enhanced collaboration and efficiency, including employees from our associated companies K&B Crushers, H&S Metals, and H&S Asbestos."

Vail Williams, a property consultancy, represented the seller, Heaton Property Investments Ltd, in the deal.

Russell Mogridge, of Vail Williams, said: "We handled the sale off-market and confidentially, subject to the early surrender of an existing lease by a previous tenant.

"Our team, thanks to regional market intelligence, often helps business owners identify off-market opportunities where there is limited availability.

"We got to know Hughes & Salvidge and the company’s specific property requirements for a relocation headquarters in the Solent region, enabling Leroux House to change hands."

Leroux House has undergone extensive refurbishment, complete with private parking for 38 vehicles, electric vehicle charging points, a first-floor boardroom, and several meeting rooms.

The purchase price of the property has not been disclosed.

Despite the move, Hughes & Salvidge remains focused on continued expansion both regionally and internationally.
