A lido located in Hampshire has been named among the 20 best to visit in the UK.

Lymington Sea Water Baths, which was praised for its great "pedigree", featured on the list from The Telegraph.

Discussing the creation of the list, the publication wrote: "Despite our islands’ propensity for rain, the UK is filled with open-air lidos and outdoor pools, which come into their own when the mercury rises.

"A golden age of lidos happened in the Thirties, with 169 pools built across the country. This number diminished as the popularity of inexpensive holidays abroad meant there was less demand for public pools at home.

"However, the ones that do remain are often exceptionally beautiful thanks to this history and some thoughtful restoration work."
