A former Hampshire police dog who ‘doesn’t quite have what it takes’ to enter service is searching for a forever home.

The 'super lovely' one-year-old Raven would be ideally placed with older children in a household with no cats, police said.

Writing on X, a spokesperson for the police said: “Please meet Raven, she is a one-year-old Malinois who doesn’t quite have what it takes to continue on her journey to become a police dog.

“Raven is super lovely and we are looking for a forever home with a family who can take good care of her and offer her a full and exciting life.

“We are ideally looking for a home with older children and without cats, but she is good with other dogs.

“If you are interested then please send us a direct message on [X] with your details and email address, we will then get back to you as soon as possible.”
