A shocking video has shown the moment an uninsured driver took off from police in a 60mph chase through the streets of Shirley.

Matthew Fielder-Taylor failed to stop for officers whilst driving a Renault Megane along Shirley Road in Southampton

The dashcam footage shows officers approaching the vehicle before Fielder-Taylor took off at speed, driving on the wrong side of the road.

He then drove down residential streets with police having to hit speeds of up to 60mph in order to keep up.
