A man has been discharged from hospital after he suffered a serious head injury during an alleged assault outside a Southampton chippy.
Police say a man in his 20s has left hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing after the incident in Shirley.
At around 1am on Saturday morning (August 10) the man suffered a serious head injury on Shirley Road near to Malmesbury Road.
Hampshire Constabulary is now investigating reports that the man was assaulted and two men have since been arrested.

A 22-year-old man from Romsey and an 18-year-old man from Southampton were arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.
They have both been released under investigation.
A large police cordon was in place outside Top Catch fish and chip shop on Shirley Road throughout Saturday morning.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers investigating this incident would now like to hear from anyone with any information about what happened who have not yet spoken to police.
"Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened in the lead-up to the assault?
"We are keen to hear from anyone with any information, particularly regarding what happened in the moments leading up to the incident.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone who was driving through the area and has dash cam footage which captured what happened."
