A man has been charged following a protest in Hampshire which saw part of a motorway temporarily blocked off.
According to police, two separate groups gathered by Kettering Terrace in Portsmouth, near the M275, at around 8pm on Wednesday, August 7.
A spokesman at the time said: "Officers were on hand to prevent violence and disorder, however some members of the public walked onto and temporarily blocked the M275 northbound before moving to the opposite carriageway.
"No-one was hurt and the groups dispersed a short time later."
Following this incident, police have charged Daniel Gilbert Roney, of St Faith's Road in Portsmouth, with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress and racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress.
He has been bailed to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court today (Monday, August 19).
