Speaking ahead of the news that the man had died, she said: “We looked out the window and saw people doing CPR opposite to where we live.

“Me and my partner both work for the NHS so we were getting our shoes on ready to go and help when an ambulance turned up.

“People at the scene were so distraught – it looked like something very serious had happened.

“We were getting very worried and then an air ambulance also circled above us.

“We were told that it had landed near Tesco."

She added: "I’m not sure exactly what was going on but I really hope whoever is involved is ok."
