Three people broke into a hotel in Southampton last week and stole alcohol, membership cards and a cash till, police said.
The trio broke into a staff-only area during the overnight break-in at Leonardo Royal Hotel on West Quay Road.
It took place between 11.30pm on August 13 and 12.30am on August 14.
Police have now charged a woman and said this is one of several cases they have dealt with over the last week.
Michelle Louise Grundy, 45, of Falkland Road in Eastleigh, has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of handling stolen goods.
She has been remanded into custody and will next appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on September 4.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Just because our suspects don’t live on patch, does not mean we won’t break their door down in pursuit of justice.”
In addition to this incident, police officers responded to reports of a burglary in the Cossack Green area of Southampton.
Police said that a day later, they identified the suspect and pursued him through the city centre.
Ryan James Harvey, 28, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of burglary, also relating to a handbag stolen from a woman in her 40s at the Flower Factory on Onslow Road on August 10.
Speaking of their work to tackle burglaries, officers said in a Facebook post: "This work demonstrates the zero-tolerance approach we will take to burglary amongst other acquisitive crimes in the city centre.
"In just three shifts, Bargate officers have secured multiple burglary charges against multiple prolific suspects in order to safeguard our community.
"Enquiries are still being carried out to arrest and secure charges against other people involved in other burglary incidents.
"Equally, this also serves as a warning to those who think they can travel into our city centre to commit burglary and other crime against our residents. You will be pursued and you will be arrested."
While on patrol for burglary suspects, officers spotted a wanted man on a bike on London Road.
A man from Southampton was detained and subsequently arrested on suspicion of rape. He has been bailed while further enquiries take place.
