A witness appeal has been launched after a 30-year-old man was killed in a crash in Marchwood.
An 18-year-old woman was also left in a serious condition and taken to hospital after the crash, at 11.29pm on Friday.
The crash, in Normandy Way, involved one vehicle, a blue Ford Ka, which collided with a tree.
Officers and paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service attended, but despite the best efforts from emergency workers, a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said that his family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

An 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital where she has been treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We are asking that any witnesses or those with relevant dash cam footage please call 101 quoting reference 44240352481."
Police have also confirmed that no arrests have been made and that the 18-year-old is still in hospital.
The force has confirmed that the woman involved in the crash is currently recovering in hospital.
