Southampton Pride 2024 will be taking place very soon, and those attending the celebration may need to be aware of the bag policy and banned items list.

The event will be taking place over the weekend of Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 in Guildhall Square.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to be attending with a number of acts performing and stalls set out.

Here's all you need to know about the banned items list at Southampton Pride 2024 and its bag policy.

Southampton Pride 2024 banned items list

Southampton Pride said on its Facebook page: "A reminder that only unopened, sealed soft drinks may be brought onto the site.

"Empty bottles can be brought in and filled with water inside the Guildhall or bottled water is available from merch stands for the cost price of 50p a bottle (while stocks last).

"Under no circumstances can alcohol be brought into the site."

Attendees can also bring required medication into Guildhall Square but it is asked that people bring a copy of their prescription or a doctor’s note.

The website adds: "Please make sure you only bring enough for the duration of the event and ensure you keep it safe with you at all times."

Southampton Pride 2024 bag policy

The only information on the bag policy at Southampton Pride is that all bags will be searched so it is recommended to not bring one to speed up entry to the event.

The website states: "All bags are subject to a search so please avoid bringing one where you can as this would speed up your entry to the festival."

On the event's Facebook page, organisers added: "A refusal to have your bag searched will mean refusal for entry."
