This incredible shot shows the moment a HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter conducts drills while hovering over the Solent.
The picture taken by Andy Amor at approximately 2,000ft was shared today - World Photography Day - by the Maritime Coastguard Agency.
Andy told the Echo he had been flying to the Isle of Wight on August 11 when he took the picture.
The picture shows the red and white helicopter, based at Lee-on-the-Solent, flying above the Solent causing the waters to ripple.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency Facebook post said: “Today is World Photography Day and we want to share this incredible image of an HM Coastguard helicopter conducting winching drills.
