Nearly 400 tickets have been snapped up for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Dash in the Dark night-time run.
The 5km fun run takes place on Southampton Common on September 21, aiming to raise funds for the charity's life-saving missions.
Participants Dean and Logan-James Dodsworth will run in support of their 15-year-old family member, Tyler, a victim of a tragic car accident.
The Dash has raised over £150,000 since its inception in 2019.
Dean said: "My son is very lucky to be here. We are so grateful for the fast response of the air ambulance and their great efforts to make sure my son was stable enough to be flown to hospital."
Keith Wilson, director of Income and Engagement, said: "It is only thanks to our dedicated wave of supporters from events such as Dash in the Dark that we can be there for those who need our help."
