Drivers are being warned as a major road is set to be hit by roadworks next month.
Thomas Lewis Way is a major route into Southampton city centre from junction 5 of the M27 and Eastleigh.
At the start of September, the stretch from the Portswood Road junction to the traffic lights at St Denys Road is set to be hit by overnight closures for three days.
This may affect early commuters and drivers on the road during the evening.

The road will be fully closed in this area between the hours of 8pm to 6am on Monday, September 2, to Thursday, September 5.
According to One.Network the reason for the road closure is for Southampton City Council’s highway teams to undertake a drainage investigation.
For those who need to travel through the area, a diversion route has been set up, which takes drivers onto Portswood Road and onto St Denys Road.
