The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

CARL PEARSON, 35, of Herrick Close, Southampton, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop after an accident and driving without insurance. The offences relate to a vehicle stolen in Portsmouth and involved in a crash on Garfield Road, Portsmouth. He also admitted theft from a shop after coats worth £1,139 were stolen from Cotswold Outdoor, Southampton and failing to surrender to bail. Pearson received a one-year community order with 150 hours unpaid work and a two-year driving ban. He must pay £1,139 compensation, £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge. 

DJAMINA CASE, 29, of Crocker Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, admitted four counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order. These relate to incidents on Regents Park Road and Millbrook Road West, Southampton where she approached drivers in cars asking for money. She also approached people and begged. Case was given a one-year community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement, a mental health treatment requirement and 20 rehabilitation days.

LUKE FARMER, 36, of Lockerley Crescent, Southampton pleaded guilty to six counts of theft from a shop after £988 worth of alcohol and Olay cream was stolen from Sainsbury's, Hedge End. Farmer received a one-year community order with 10 rehabilitation days and 80 hours of unpaid work. He must pay £988 compensation.

ZACHARY LOWE, 36, of no fixed address, admitted burglary after £931.64 of goods were stolen from Unite Student Accommodation at Orion Point, St Mary's Road, Southampton. He also pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after £330 of items were stolen from Next. He was jailed for four months and must pay £795.51 compensation. 

JAREK GLUSZEK, 54, of Camborne Close, Bishopstoke pleaded guilty to drink driving a Toyota Aygo on Bishopstoke Road. He had 121 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Gluszek was given a one-year community order with an alcohol abstinence and monitoring requirement, 250 hours of unpaid work and five rehabilitation days. He was banned for 30 months and must pay £85 court costs plus a £114 surcharge.
