Swimmers are set to make a splash by stripping off for a naked charity event.

People are encouraged to go commando at Durley House, all in aid of a good cause.

Organised by British Naturism, the swim on September 1 hopes to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

An exhilarating form of fundraising, Andrew Welch from the organisation said he hopes people look behind the taboos of skinny dipping and take part.

He said: “Taboos around nudity are eroding and the health and well-being benefits of going naked are more widely understood, with more and more people wanting to get the exhilarating feeling of swimming without a costume for themselves.

“We encourage anyone to come and give it a go and raise much needed funds for our charity partner, British Heart Foundation.”

The swim at Durley House will take place from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday, September 1.

Tickets can be purchased from www.bn.org.uk and cost £12 per person.
