The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
PETER SOLTYS, 42, of Carlyle Road, Bournemouth pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident and driving without due care and attention at junction one of the M27. He was driving a Ford Kuga when damage was caused to another vehicle. Soltys was fined £1,050 and received eight points. He must pay £85 court costs and a £420 surcharge.
MARK FITZEARLE, 33, of Clarendon Road, Southampton admitted theft from a shop after £58.10 of scratch cards and tobacco were stolen from Co-Op, Eastleigh. He received a six-month conditional discharge and must pay £58.10 compensation.
ABUZAR ELHAJ, 25, of no fixed address pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in public. He was caught with a folding pocket knife in Bevois Valley Road, Southampton. He was jailed for six months. The court ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the knife. Elhaj must pay a £154 surcharge.

LEE WHITING, 42, of Chessel Avenue, Southampton admitted common assault of an emergency worker, namely a police officer in Southampton. He was fined £500 and must pay £75 compensation, £85 court costs and a £200 surcharge.
JASON DONNELLY, 54, of Lodge Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to bail and four counts of theft from a shop after alcohol worth £232 was stolen from Asda in Southampton. Donnelly was ordered to pay £58 compensation and was banned from entering Asda, Western Esplanade for 12 months.
KERRY-ANNE CROPP, 42, of Brunswick Place, Totton admitted drink driving on Salisbury Road, Totton. She was caught with 72 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Cropp was banned for 12 months and fined £120. She must pay £40 court costs and a £48 surcharge.
CALLUM STEWARD, 34, of Seafield Road, Isle of Wight pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in London Road, Southampton. He received a six-month conditional discharge and must pay £85 court costs plus a £26 surcharge.
