The Mortgage Hut, a Southampton-based mortgage advice firm, has recorded a remarkable growth of 227 per cent despite economic challenges.
The surge for the company occurred in the wake of Liz Truss' 2022 Budget resulting in the firm's performance beating their previous best year by 135 per cent.
The firm's Police Mortgage brand has extended its partnerships from initially two UK police forces to now 23.
Staff also cite consistent improvement of their Airline Mortgage Shop brand, which assists flight crew and ground staff from the UK's largest airlines in obtaining mortgage advice, as a key growth driver.
In addition to this, The Mortgage Hut is recruiting six more advisors and extra support staff to deal with the increasing demand.
Amid fluctuating market activity and demand, the company experienced an upswing driven by the necessity for their existing customers to secure rates quicker than ever from a wider range of lenders.
The company, offering nearly 12,000 mortgage products from 110 UK-based lenders, managed to keep business brisk throughout the year.
They handle more than 100 inquiries a day from customers needing advice on both new and existing mortgages.
Customer satisfaction is also on the rise, reaching its highest point in 14 years. This milestone demonstrates the firm's customer-centric approach, which prioritises the best outcomes for each client.
The Mortgage Hut was launched in 2014 and has gracefully weathered significant regulatory changes.
Employing 24 financial advisors (planning to on-board six more soon) and 30 support staff, the firm has successfully navigated the largest regulatory shift since its inception, as the entire team collaborates to ensure a streamlined process for all customers.
Plans for further growth continue, ensuring that The Mortgage Hut can uphold its long-term ambition of becoming one of the UK's leading mortgage advice firms.
Managing director Nicola Schutrups said: "Because of the way the business works, we’re able to see our business pipeline well in advance. The expectation is that we’ll have another bumper year, far exceeding the one we’ve just finished."
