A new nursery and childcare service has opened in Fareham, Botley, Whiteley and Curbridge.

Little Nest Childcare in Burridge opened its doors to the public this month and is offering parents childcare services for children aged 2 and a half years to school age.

The new nursery will be operating a flexible session every day between the hours of 8am to 6pm.

Owners and managers of the Little Nest Nursery, Paige Saunders and Megan Lever, said that opening their own nursery was a ‘dream come true.’

During this time she said she worked extremely hard to achieve a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.

Similarly, Megan’s passion for childcare started in 2014 when she completed her first pre-school placement for her Level 3 qualification.

Megan has gained a BA (Hons) degree in Education Studies and more recently qualified as an early years teacher after undertaking teacher training.

An official opening event was held at the nursery site on Botley Road on Sunday attended by Fareham councillor, Joanne Burton, and former leader of Fareham Borough Council, Sean Woodward.

Cllr Burton said: “It was an absolute pleasure as Sarisbury Councillor, along with Alderman Sean Woodward, who is the Chairman of Burridge Village Hall, to formally open Little Nest Childcare today.

“The sun shone on us all for what will be a tremendous asset to Burridge and the surrounding area.

“Megan and Paige are inspirational young leaders and we both wished them and their lovely staff all the best for many years of success with their pre-school.

“It is so important to parents when they are choosing a setting for their children, as I know from personal experience, to be able to find somewhere where the care and wellbeing of the children is paramount and I have no doubt that Little Nest will proved to be one of the best childcare settings in the area.”
