A man accused of stealing over £16,000 from a butchers and a farm shop where he was working has pleaded not guilty.
John Harding of Porteous Crescent, Chandler’s Ford is charged with theft by employee between January 15, 2019, and January 6, 2022.
He is accused of stealing £16,477.48 while working for R Owton Wholesale Butchers, based at Chalcroft Business Park and Chalcroft Farm Shop in Hillier Gardens Centre in Woodhouse Lane, Botley.

The 54-year-old of Porteous Crescent, Chandler’s Ford pleaded not guilty at a hearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
He spoke only to confirm his name, address, date of birth and plea.
The case was adjourned and Harding was granted unconditional bail to appear at Southampton Crown Court on September 30.
