The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates Court...

ADAM MARTIN, 46, of Chapel Road, Southampton admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker and constructing or resisting a constable. He was fined £120 and must pay £40 court costs plus a £48 surcharge. 

ANDREW PHILLIPS, 38, of HMP Wayland pleaded guilty to assault by beating in Southampton. He was jailed for four weeks and received a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim or from going to Avro Court, Hamble-le-Rice. He must pay a £154 surcharge.

AARON PHILLIPS, 42, of Davis Field, New Milton admitted common assault of an emergency worker in New Milton. Phillips was fined £120 and must pay £40 court costs.

LEE TURVEY, 41, of King William Street, Portsmouth was found guilty of failing to comply with a red light traffic signal at junction 11 of the westbound M27. He was driving a Vauxhall Astra. Turvey was fined £200 and received three points. He must pay £650 court costs and an £80 surcharge. 

PATRICK DUNNE, 36, of Shadow Brook Lane, Hampton-in-Arden pleaded guilty to speeding on the A34 southbound near Winchester. He was caught at 94mph in a 70mph zone by manned speeding equipment. Dunne was fined £333 and received six points. He must pay £85 court costs and a £133 surcharge. 

HASSEN HAMANI, 31, of Thornbury Avenue, Southampton admitted six counts of theft from a shop. These relate to £564.87 of kitchen appliances, alcohol and other items stolen from Asda, The Range and John Lewis in Southampton. He pleaded guilty to assault by beating and was found guilty of two counts of assault by beating and one count of assault by beating of an emergency worker. Hamani received a six-week sentence suspended for 12 months. He must pay £200 compensation.
