Shirley Men's Shed is inviting the public to its first open day.
The event due to be held on September 21, from 11am to 4pm, is located behind St James Road Methodist Church.
The shed, officially opened in July, currently operates three mornings a week.

Membership Secretary Brian Hooper said: "The Open Day is for anyone to see what Shirley Men’s Shed people do, what we make, what we can offer, and maybe what you can offer us!
"We’ll have a selection of products available, and information about work we’ve done and plan to do for the community in and around Shirley. We won’t pressure you to buy or sign up for anything, but you’ll be very welcome to do either of those if you want to. We are particularly keen to take on new members who could help others improve their woodwork or other craft skills."
