These relate to an incident outside the village hall in Broughton where dead animals were dumped.

The animals he is charged with possessing are a dead barn owl and a dead kestrel.

The incident took place on March 15 this year.

Kempster, 37, is also accused of damaging a shop front.

Prosecutor, Varun Cheni said the incident took place in the "early hours" of the morning before 7am, adding that "a number of dead animals" were found around the community shop.

"Even a dead barn owl and a dead kestrel that had been left there as well."

He added that there was blood on the shop.

But following an application by Kempster's solicitor Sarah Barnard, magistrates adjourned the case.

Magistrate chair, Judith Maddox said: "We do agree that in the interest of justice yes there should be an adjournment in this case".
