CCTV footage shows the moments of a dramatic crash in Bursledon that saw Hamble Lane closed for hours and left neighbours 'in hysterics'.
Bursledon resident, Allan Vincent, 53, had his Volkswagen CC damaged beyond repair in the early hours of Tuesday morning after he heard an almighty thud while he was in bed.

A 22-year-old man from Locks Heath has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and is currently in police custody.
Allan told the Echo: "I came outside and saw a mess; my car was in my neighbour's house and I tried to calm down my neighbour's wife, who had four kids in the house at the time."
Nicky Vincent, Allan's wife, said their two children were "distraught" after the incident and added that motorist often drive fast down the residential road.
The 44-year-old said: "Our children said they did not want to live on this road anymore after the incident happened.
"The speeds at which people drive down this road at night is unbelievable.
"This road is a liability; it is dreadful."
