Southampton's International Boat Show got underway with a splash yesterday with a spectacular performance by a wing foiling champion.
Sixteen-year-old Hugo Dobrejivic took to the water as he wowed audiences with flips and tricks to launch the 55th iteration of the iconic event.
The show welcomed thousands on the opening day with visitors enjoying a variety of attractions and activities including the Watersports zone, Dinghy Zone and On-the-Water stage.
But it wasn't just about the boats as attendees also enjoyed food and live entertainment with Captain Glenn Shephard, star of reality show Below Deck Sailing Yacht, opening the show.

CEO of British Marine, Lesley Robinson said: “As we open the doors for our 55thedition, we are thrilled to see such large crowds on opening day, and eagerly anticipate welcoming over 100,000 visitors throughout the next ten days.
“Our objective is to put the spotlight on the marine industry and all its opportunities, as we continue our mission to get people out onto the water.
"Whether you are a first-timer or an experienced sailor, the show has something for everyone.
“This year, we have an incredible line-up in store including specialist zones, attractions and special guests, including HRH The Princess Royal, who joined us at the show on opening day.
"We also have Rufus The Hawk attending the show on Saturday 14th, to ensure that our visitor's chips are protected from seagulls.”
Other specialist zones featuring this year are the Classic Day and Boat Zone and Shipyard, an entertainment area for families headlined by DJ Chris Moyles and Ibiza Symphonic.
Chief Stew, Daisy Kelliher gave an exclusive cocktail-making class on the opening day with sailing legends, Sir Chay Blyth, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, Hannah Stodel giving talks on the Foredeck stage.
Other features to see at this year’s show include the Quayside Club VIP experience and Show Marina with more than 350 boats of all types on display.
Tickets are available to purchase from the Show website with adult tickets on sale from £29.99.
Up to two children aged under 18 are permitted free entry to the show with every paying adult.
Young adults aged 18-21 can also enter for free if valid ID is shown at the gate.
