A three-day music event in Southampton is set to launch this week.
Shirley Fringe will see Southampton-based music acts perform across three days and nights in bars on Shirley Road, from today (Friday, September 20) until Sunday, September 22.
All situated on the high street, Clockwork Bar, Santo Lounge, Cozy Seven, Overdraft, and Craft 101 will host more than 60 live acts in total, which will include singers, dancers, and even comedians.

Organised in less than three weeks, the idea for the event came after Shirley was "overlooked" for hosting artists appearing at Music in the City, a live music festival in Southampton city centre a week after Shirley Fringe.
Looking ahead to the event, Mark Fay, owner of Clockwork Bar, said: “Shirley has so much to offer, and we hope we can showcase it as a place to see live music, have a great time, and open us up to the wider Southampton area.”
Profits from the event will go towards children’s charity Safe Families, a Southampton-based charity that provides social support to children and their parents.
