Emergency services have attended the Itchen Bridge due to concerns for the welfare of a woman.
Officers were called to the bridge in Southampton at around 1pm today.
A police motorcycle and an ambulance could be seen parked on the bridge alongside a white Volkswagen.
The vehicles were parked at the side of the westbound lane with traffic continuing to move in both directions.
Hampshire Constabulary has since confirmed that it was called due to concerns for the welfare of a woman.
A spokesperson said the woman was passed into the care of the ambulance service before emergency services left the scene.
