A yellow weather warning has been issued for Southampton today with thunderstorms forecast in the region for two days in a row.
The Met Office has warned that whilst many places will remain dry, thunderstorms and heavy showers could cause disruption throughout Friday, September 20.
Friday’s weather warning is in place from 12pm to 8pm – with a further yellow weather warning in place for Saturday, September 21, from 1am to 11.59pm – as a spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Driving conditions may be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.
“Delays to train services are possible. Some short-term loss of power and other services is likely.”
