Hampshire is a county that's well-regarded for its scenery and locations to live, but what are considered to be some of the poshest places in the area?
We asked Daily Echo readers on Facebook what they thought were the poshest towns and villages in Hampshire.
Some locations received multiple recommendations, so here's a breakdown of some of the best as voted for by you.
The poshest places in Hampshire according to readers
One of Hampshire's more well-known spots in Winchester was mentioned a few times by readers.
Explaining their reasoning for including it, a reader shared: "Expensive large houses, private schools, nice public gardens, it hasn’t lost its “traditional” looks compared to some other places that have soulless skyscrapers that make all cities in the UK look the same."
Meanwhile, another wrote: "Winchester - Very pretty buildings, gardens, museums, private schools, very impressive cathedral etc. It used to be the capital of the UK."
A few spots not too far away from Southampton were mentioned, such as Romsey, while another brought up the village of Chilworth, saying that "the houses look amazing up there".
One reader posted about Chandler's Ford, saying: "It even sounds posh".
Elsewhere, Alresford, which is located close to Winchester, was mentioned by one reader, who joked that "the people there think Winchester is a bit common".
Beaulieu was also a popular choice with a couple of people bringing up Dock Lane specifically and the riverside homes there.
This choice from several readers was perhaps backed up due to the fact Beaulieu was named among the UK's poshest villages earlier this year in a list from The Telegraph.
They cited its artisan stores, wide choice of schools and being on the doorstep of the New Forest among there reasons for including it.

Alongside that, one person brought up private roads within the New Forest as being among the poshest spots, specifying the ones "you never see from the road and have no neighbours for miles".
Finally, Lymington was mentioned by one reader, which is perhaps deserved with it having earned several accolades this year.
In the annual ranking from the consumer choice site Which? it was ranked among the top 50 UK seaside towns and its high street was named among the best in Britain by both The Times and the Daily Mail.
