A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a car.
Police officers were called to Winchester Road shortly before 11am yesterday.
It was reported that a black Triumph Bonneville motorcycle was travelling south along the B2177 Winchester Road when it was involved in a collision with a blue Mitsubishi Outlander.
The Mitsubishi had reportedly pulled into the road from the offside junction in order to join the flow of traffic heading south.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s, suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
